Testicular Puncture

Indication

In this method, sperm is extracted directly from testes tissue when sperm can not be found in the ejaculate (Azoospermia). If necessary, the testicular puncture will be performed as a part of ICSI treatment.

If there is no sperm in the ejaculate, it is possible to extract viable sperm using the MESA or TESE methods. Since only a small quantity of sperm can be extracted in either method, these procedures are performed exclusively in conjunction with ICSI.
